01

The problem

Dental consultations in Delhi don't sound like the training data of most speech models. They switch between Hindi and English mid-sentence, use colloquial complaints, spoken tooth numbers and Indian brand-name drugs.

The clinic also had a pre-printed case record its dentists knew by heart. Whatever we built had to produce that sheet — not a new format to learn.

02

What we built

  • Scribe, configured for the clinic: the dentist presses Start, talks to the patient normally, presses Finish, reviews the draft and prints.
  • Transcription tuned for Indian-accented, code-switched speech, with a dental vocabulary bias for tooth notation, procedures and drug brand names.
  • A structuring step that turns the transcript into the clinic's case record — same sections, same order, same tooth charts — on the clinic's letterhead.
  • An installable app for the clinic PC, tablets and phones, with an owner-only usage view so running costs never surprise anyone.

The workflow

From conversation to case sheet.

This demo uses a fictional consultation. No patient information from the clinic appears on this site.

Recording · 01:12Demo consultation
  1. 00:04Haan boliye, kya takleef hai?
  2. 00:09Doctor sahab, pichhle 4 din se upper right mein bahut dard hai.
  3. 00:15Raat ko dard badh jata hai, so nahin paate.
  4. 00:21Thanda paani lagne se jhanjhanahat hoti hai.
  5. 00:38Theek hai, ek IOPA karwa lijiye.

Fictional consultation for illustration. Scribe drafts; the dentist reviews, edits and signs.

03

How it works

  • Document, don't diagnose

Nothing enters the record that wasn't said in the room. A topic that wasn't discussed prints blank, to be completed by pen.

  • Defences against invented text

Silent audio is never sent for transcription, stock phrases and repetition loops are filtered, and anything uncertain — an unclear drug name, an ambiguous number — is flagged for the dentist before signing.

  • Privacy by default

Consultation audio is held in memory for a single request and never written to disk. Records sit behind row-level security.

04

Outcome

Scribe is in use at the clinic, producing case sheets that file alongside the hand-written ones.

Every sheet is reviewed and signed by the treating dentist. Scribe drafts; the dentist decides.
